I'm Just a Kid

Taylor (my 12 yr old cousin) showed me this the other day and I got a laugh out of it. Get out your calculator and follow along. Whatever I put in [these brackets] punch into your calculator.

There was a [69] year old woman who was [2][2][2] big. She went to [51]rst street and saw Dr. [X] and had [8] surgeries. When she walked out she was... [hit = and flip your calculator around].

Immature? Completely. But funny!

Teeth and The Medicine Woman

Yesterday at around 16:30, I received my BLS card for healthcare providers. (BLS= basic life support). Wooooo hooooo! I can now legally help someone if they are choking/dying/going into vfib. Don't make me break your ribs and/or shock you. It was the most laid back, most "chill" class that I have ever taken. There was only three people in the class (a school teacher, me, and a guy who worked in the ICU) so they needed to renew their card, and I just needed to get one. So we just did the renewal course (a lot shorter... we were out of there in 2 hours). The only scary part was when I discovered that I knew more than the nurse who worked in the ICU at a hospital. It's a long story.
Today has also been a good day for everyone but Maggie May. My mom had to take Maggie to the vet (to get fixed) before her Bible study started, so she asked me to take the twins to school. So I set my alarm for 08:00 (only a 1/2 earlier than usual) and took the monkeys to school. Livi and Luke insisted on taking the "shortcut" to class so they could pass the water fountain. Then after school we went to the playground while we waited for Tay to get out of school. Kids are so freaking awesome. A bunch of Livi's friends were yelling at me to look at them, look at them, look at them! And Luke was off being a boy, playing some game of tag/throw the ball at anyone. But, there is a point to this post!
The first one: Luke lost a tooth tonight! I'll post the pictures later... but the cool part was that he let me pull it out for him! It was a bleeder too. What can I say, my brother's a little stud muffin in the making.
The second reason is just crazy. You really never know who you're going to meet at the most random times. My mom and I stopped by a tiny Mexican food place on our way home from Costco. You just park your car and then go up to a window or you can go inside to order. We walked up the window and ordered our stuff and stood back to wait for it. There was a Native American guy waiting for his food too. He randomly gives my mom his business card and we just started talking to him. As it turns out, he's an actor (in SAG) and he was in a bunch of tv shows! He was in CSI, and he was in Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman too! He even showed us a picture of him in the shows, and one of him with Jane Seymour! It was so cool! Like I said, you meet the random-est people! My mom and I went to my mom's car to drive home and he went and sat down to eat with his dog Compton. Cute name right? :)

I know a lot of you guys are still in school. I just wanted to encourage you to all keep it up! Just take everything day by day; trying to do too much can be lethal. Sometimes the days seem like they will never end... but time really does fly by.

Bennie and the Jets

It's officially my last week of school. My last final is on Friday from 1-3pm and Allyse and I are checking out around 3:45pm. Both of us are taking things off the walls and our desk and doing all of the miscellaneous things that need to be done before moving out. We're taking some before and after pictures too, so those should be up in around a week.
Three more finals!
I was on facebook the other day. Surprising, I know. I mean, I'm never on facebook! ;) Well I was on and I saw the funniest/saddest ad.
I didn't tickle the kid. Why would I want to watch a cartoon kid upchuck?
