Problems and Pain

Not my problems or pains... but this is an excerpt from what we have been reading in psychology class. It's pretty awesome.

"Life is difficult.
This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult- once we truly understand and accept it- then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.
Most do not fully see this truth that life is difficult. Instead they moan more or less incessantly, noisily or subtly, about the enormity of their problems, their burdens, and their difficulties as if life were generally easy, as if life should be easy. They voice their belief, noisily or subtly, that their difficulties represent a unique kind of affliction that should not be and that has somehow been especially visited upon them, or else upon their families, their tribe, their class, their nation, their race or even their species, and not upon others. I know about this moaning because I have done my share.
Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them?"
The Road Less Traveled 9 (pg 15) by M. Scott Peck, M.D.

I like it. But yeah, I've definitely been there before. But tackling your problem head on (with God's guidance of course and some friend talk-age) seems to be the best way to go.
And I'm listening to some Grey's Anatomy songs. They are BOMB.COM!!!!!!

I am in love with Psychology and its explanations for everything life-related. Life was never meant to be easy. Life can't ever be hard. It can't be hard because that would mean there would have to be a life that's easy to counter and contrast it. But there isn't an easy life, so a hard life doesn't exist. Life is life. Period. It's like how I said Life can't suck because life is as it is, so how can it suck if there isn't a time where it doesn't suck? Right?

I believe that this life does suck and is hard because we were meant and designed for such a different, perfect, easy life. After the fall it is hard and will remain that way until Christ returns and brings us back to the life we were designed for. Till then we have to, as you quoted and the author said, just deal with it as it comes and not whine about it.

And I believe the phrase is the bomb.com, not just bomb.com. I also believe anything associated with Grey's Anatomy can't be the bomb.com or bomb.com. Watch Heroes.

:p
